After enjoying a warm and wonderful Thursday evening with some of the very best friends of Harwill at the Solid Grounds Art House & Cafe, 1309 Dawson Road, Lorette, MB, we have returned safely to our home at Thorsby among the beautiful rolling hills of the central Alberta countryside. Our good friends Thida and her extended family at Lorette operate one of the most charming and arts-friendly establishments to feature live music on the prairies, with both an appreciative audience and an excellent menu, and we look forward to our next visit with great anticipation and wish them nothing but the best until we see them again!
Koko is resting up after a long 6 weeks on the road and I’m getting in some extended rest myself and replying to a few emails before saddling up tomorrow morning to begin preparations for the show at Blackjacks Roadhouse, 2110 Sparrow Drive, Nisku, AB, this Friday night. I want to say thanks to everyone who came out and supported us on tour across Canada this summer, rest assured that we’ll be missing you until we see you again and that I can’t wait to get back and play you a few tunes. Stay well and keep on keepin’ on wherever you are in this great nation of ours, and we’ll look forward to catching up and sharing the love when the wander man revisits next year.
I’m on stage this Friday evening for a return visit to Blackjacks Roadhouse and we’re hoping a few friends turn up for a howdy-and-shake, so thanks again for spreading the word that we’re back in town. This will be my last solo appearance of the summer until the return of the first-Wednesday-of-each-month ‘Troubadours & Tales’ singer/songwriter series at the Nisku Inn in September, and I look forward to saying hello to some old and new friends of Harwill when I hit the stage at 8:30pm local time.
As ever I thank you for passing the word along the never-ending highway that I’m on the way thru and I look forward to seeing you at the show!
