The ‘Harwill News’ spring 2010 edition…reprint!

Hello to everyone and thanks very much once again for being here! This is the spring edition of the ‘Harwill News’ for 2010, and as always here’s hoping this note finds all well with you and yours!

The good new continues to roll in with the expanding release of my latest album to both radio and retail, and I’m happy to send my personal “thank you very much” to the good folks in Canadian radio land for all of their support! The new album ‘Tim Harwill & Friends ~ The Wander Man Revisited‘ is currently in medium rotation on Aboriginal, community, and campus radio, and is scheduled for release to commercial radio from coast to coast over the summer of 2010. Thanks again for your support and especially for all of your requests at a station near you!

This leads to the actual ‘big news’ for this issue – I’m headed back out on the road in early May 2010 – which also happens to be directly tied to the new album release! With the record receiving strong notices and spending time on an assortment of charts across the country so far this year, I’m happy (and relieved!) to be able to ‘officially’ announce that I’ll be on tour in support of the new record this summer. Kicking off with a show in the Boomtown Pub at Calgary, AB, the west coast leg of the coast-to-coast-in-Canada ‘The Wander Man Revisits’ tour begins on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, and I can’t wait to get back on stage! Here’s hoping you’re able to join me in Calgary for the 1st show of the new tour and at venues throughout the province of BC during the month of May, and across Canada when I tour through your area of our great nation later this summer. For details regarding venues, dates, show times and location details please see the tour calendar on the Tim Harwill dot com web site at the link below, and remember to check for updates regularly as dates will be added as they are confirmed. Thanks very much once again and see you at the show!

Sticking with ‘big news’ as the topic, I’m also pleased to let you know that I’ve entered into a representation agreement with Angel Records Canada Inc., a Red Deer, AB, based independent record label. Owned and operated by the dynamic duo of Heather Rumbolt and Glenn Wombold, I’m very pleased to be working with these folks and looking forward to a very successful business relationship. Since late February, 2010, all promotion and booking for Tim Harwill has been managed by Heather Rumbolt, and you’re invited to see the website at the link below for additional information about Canada’s new home of quality roots music. Thanks for the assist and welcome aboard to Heather, Glenn, and the folks at Angel Records Canada!

The first reviews of the new album have begun to appear in publications across North America, and I’ve collected links to a few of them to share with you below. There are few things more pleasing to a working man than the satisfaction of a job well done, however when folks in the know are kind enough to acknowledge your efforts it’s doubly satisfying. Thus I want to say thank you to everyone for the kind words and the support, each of us that appear on the album appreciate the good notices very much, and we thank you for taking the time to share your opinions about the work we did with the world!

I’m also pleased to (somewhat sheepishly?) announce that I’ve now been dragged (kicking & screaming!) further into the 21st century with the launch of the Tim Harwill Facebook page earlier this month. Developed and maintained by my oldest son you’re invited to join me there and I’ve included a link to the page below, and I want to say thanks kindly to the young fellow for the (very much appreciated) assist!

As always, thanks very kindly for your interest and support. Please reply to me here with ‘REMOVE ME’ in the subject line if you’d like to opt out of future editions of the ‘Harwill News’. Thanks for sending a message with ‘ADD ME” in the subject line if you’re new or if you’d like to receive the ‘Harwill News’ in the future, and thanks very much in advance for your patience. Thanks very much for passing the ‘Harwill News’ along to friends, fans, and supporters of independent music everywhere!
